DUBAI: On Tuesday night, British brand Alexander McQueen hosted
a grand soiree adjacent to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to toast the
launch of its Spring 2021 collection.�
Dubai fashion influencers and It-girls were invited to take in
the brandâ€™s new collection and dance the night away while
listening to tunes by DJ and influencer Parvane Barrett, who was
spinning behind the decks.

The UAE announced a record high in COVID-19 cases on Tuesday,
with 3,243 new coronavirus cases and six deaths. However, certain
events are permitted with safety measures in place.
At the event was Iraqi it-girl Rania Fawaz, who showed up
wearing a beige knit dress and black leather purse by Alexander
UAE blogger Nadya Hassan was also in attendance, wearing a
head-to-toe outfit from the British fashion label in the form of a
black minidress, pointed-toe pumps and a leather, monochromatic
Hassan took to her Instagram Stories to document the evening,
sharing a glimpse of the brandâ€™s new collection of leather
handbags, clutches and jewelry as well as a spectacular Alexander
McQueen projection that lit up the worldâ€™s tallest building.
She was joined at the event by Dubai-based Iraqi style blogger
Deema Al-Asadi and Saudi influencer Hala Abdullah.
Al-Asadi wore an all-black look, which consisted of a voluminous
corset worn over a T-shirt and tailored trousers. She completed the
look with black boots and a gold-trimmed bag.
For her part, Abdullah looked elegant in a long,
off-the-shoulder black gown.

Spring 2021 ready-to-wear collection via a fashion film entitled
â€œFirst Lightâ€ directed and shot by English filmmaker Jonathan
Glazer in East London.

In her collection notes, Burton expressed a desire for
â€œShape, silhouette and volume, the beauty of the bare bones
of clothing stripped back to its essence â€” a world charged with
emotion and human connection.â€
The designer drew fabric from the deadstock pile to create gowns
with corset tops, long, full ballerina skirts, a biker jacket with
cocoon-shaped tulle sleeves and a ball skirt.
